This Privacy Policy explains how BIBLIOTEEKSA (PTY) LTD (registration 2025/255900/07), the maker of the Fanomily app ("Fanomily", "we", "us"), collects and uses your personal information. We are the "responsible party" under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

1. Information we collect

Account details — your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
Family information — the family members you add, and the events, tasks, shopping lists, reminders and messages you create inside your family group.
Device & usage data — device type, app version, and basic usage logs that help us keep the app working.
Notification tokens — so we can send the reminders you ask for.

2. How we use it

To provide the app and sync your family's information across devices.
To send the reminders and notifications you enable.
To process subscriptions and manage your account.
To provide support and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Legal basis (POPIA)

We process your information to deliver the service you signed up for (contractual necessity) and, where required, with your consent — for example, for push notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app settings.

4. Who we share it with

Your family group — content you add is visible to the family members you invite.
Service providers — hosting, RevenueCat (for subscription management), and Apple / Google (for in-app payments and push delivery). They process data on our behalf under agreement.

5. Children

Fanomily is designed to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian. If a child uses the app within a family group, the account holder is responsible for that use and consents to the processing of that child's information as described here.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Settings → Delete account), which removes your personal information from active systems. You may also contact us to request deletion.

7. Your rights

Under POPIA you may access, correct, or delete your personal information, object to certain processing, and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).

8. Security & international transfers

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. Some of our providers may store data outside South Africa; where they do, we take steps to ensure comparable protection.
